FE Analysis process

1.Carried out FEA of oil tanker for ensuring structural integrity of the vessel during repair campaign in afloat condition involving approx. 1000T steel renewal in phases

2.Complete FE modelling of cargo hold structure

3.Load balancing of the cargo hold model extent

4.Iterated the distribution of fuel and consumables to achieve favorable loading condition for repair

5.Simulated the vessel’s floating condition during repair in ANSYS

6.Validated the renewal sequence by detailed deflection & stress checks
