Vedam provides complete services for the development of IHM for the existing & new build vessels, the scope includes preparation of VSCP, on-board survey for sampling, laboratory test & analysis & manual preparation for class approval & SOC.

For on-board survey & sampling we have a strong team & network of trained Hazmat experts who can attend the vessels at major ports worldwide.

Additionally, we are well connected with certified laboratories for the sample testing analysis & reports.

Our experienced team of Naval Architects & Engineers carries out the process of preparation of IHM, project execution and documentation submission to class and then close coordination is done with class for timely approvals.

We have approvals sort from all major IACS members.

 

Applicability:

  • For existing vessels (with GT > 500) flying the flag of an EU member state, the certified IHM is required starting 31 December 2020.
  • It should be noted that the EU SRR also affects non-EU-flagged vessels, since existing vessels (with GT > 500) flying a third-country flag (non-EU flag) calling at a port or anchorage of an EU member state shall have a certified IHM starting 31 December 2020.
  • For new vessels (with GT > 500) flying the flag of an EU member state are required to have on board a certified IHM (Inventory Hazardous Material) starting 31 December 2018.
