Hydrodynamic Motion analysis of Tanker

The motion analysis is a part of project where a chemical tanker to be berthed in offshore using multi buoy mooring system (MBM). The scope involved motion analysis and deriving hydrodynamic response of typical chemical tanker vessel under various loading conditions. The  outcome of study will be used to carry further engineering and design of mooring system.

Scope of Work

  1. Prepare the appropriate hull form mesh of a representative vessel from publicly available data
  2. Generate the vessel mesh for the fully loaded, half loaded and ballast only drafts
  3. Provide the native data file in ANSYS AQWA format
  4. Provide inertia properties (RAOs) for 3 loading conditions (Full load, Ballast and Half Load). The cargo content is considered to be Sulphuric Acid of density 1.84kg/m3 as that is what the vessel will be transporting
